Sujatha Raman is Professor and Director of Research at the Centre for Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) at Australian National University (ANU). She leads the UNESCO Chair in Science Communication for the Public Good. Trained in social, cultural and policy studies of science and technology (STS), Raman is interested in researching and fostering the forms of expertise needed to respond to planetary crises in the context of diversity in how we know, value and order things. She has led and contributed to multiple transdisciplinary collaborations in the global North and South on science/society relations and science/policy issues including environmental and energy transitions, emerging technologies, responsible innovation and antimicrobial stewardship.
