Covid-19 Policy

Covid-19 poses an enduring threat to public health. Te Pūnaha Matatini has a simple policy in place at our events to keep participants safe from Covid-19 and other respiratory diseases:

  • We use well-ventilated venues, and make outdoor spaces available for eating and drinking wherever possible.
  • We ask people to not attend events if they are unwell.
  • We provide masks as an option to keep people safe.
  • We encourage people to test for Covid-19 using a rapid antigen test (RAT) before attending our events.
  • We notify all participants if anyone tests positive for Covid-19 during or soon after attending our events.

In combination, these measures reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19 and other respiratory diseases. We are particularly mindful of protecting vulnerable members of our community, such as those who are older or have weakened immune systems.
