Claire is a Professor in Applied Mathematics at the University of Auckland. Prior to arriving in New Zealand, she completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge and spent two years working as a postdoctoral researcher in the US. While Claire’s background is in the field of applied dynamical systems, she has a broad range of research interests – from theoretical studies of differential equations to applying mathematics to understand navigation, movement and behaviour. Claire has won several awards for her work.
