Using data insights to deliver better justice services

Organisation

Ministry of Justice

Location

Wellington

Project description

The Ministry of Justice provides a wide range of services that benefit New Zealanders to get access to justice. For example, we administer Legal Aid to support people who would otherwise be unable to afford legal representation, and we manage the Public Defense Service – the biggest law firm in Aotearoa.

It is intended that the successful applicant will undertake a range of analyses to understand the root cause of issues and identify opportunities, helping us deliver our critical services effectively to meet desired outcomes.

The successful applicant will be expected to use data to uncover insights, and produce engaging outputs which support the evidence base leading to service design improvements
