Patricia is a training zooarchaeologist and recently completed a Master of Arts in Anthropology specialising in Archaeology at the University of Auckland. She will be undertaking a PhD this year focusing on avifaunal extinctions and anthropogenic feedback relationships.
Patricia’s MA focused on the diet and oral health of kurī (the Māori dog) from archaeological sites in the North Island of Aotearoa using zooarchaeological techniques. Her main research interests are human-animal relationships, spatial analysis, as well as human palaeoecology, and heritage management.
