
Patricia Pillay

Patricia is a zooarchaeologist and will be undertaking her PhD at the University of Auckland. She recently completed her MA with Te Pūnaha Matatini investigator Professor Melinda Allen on the Māori dog from archaeological assemblages in northern Aotearoa New Zealand. She also works with Professor Thegn Ladefoged and Dion O’Neale on the Te Pūnaha Matatini-funded social network analysis on modelling stone artefact distribution on Ahuahu Great Mercury Island. Patricia is passionate about human-animal interactions, long term environmental patterns and spatial analysis.
